This consultation paper sets out our proposals for relief from requirements under the Corporations Act 2001 (Corporations Act) for appointing authorised representatives where:

• a person arranges for the issue of general insurance products of an Australian general insurer (general insurer); and
• the insurer accepts responsibility for the conduct of that person.
