REP 49 Overview of decisions on relief applications from financial service providers: January to April 2005

The purpose of the report is to improve the level of transparency and the quality of information available about decisions we make when we are asked to exercise our discretionary powers to grant relief from provisions of the Act.
The report covers the period beginning 1 January 2005 and ending 30 April 2005. During this period we decided 481 applications concerning Chapter 5C, Chapter 7 and related provisions of the Act. We granted relief in relation to 404 applications and refused relief in relation to 77 applications.
