Reports by the Council of Financial Regulators

Under the Corporations Act 2001, the responsible Minister is required to take into account advice from the Council of Financial Regulators (CFR) before issuing a determination that mandatory obligations for trade reporting, central clearing or platform trading should apply.

In order to inform their advice, the CFR are actively monitoring developments in Australian and overseas OTC derivatives markets. As part of this process, the CFR carry out periodic surveys of the Australian OTC derivatives market and produce reports based on the results.
