is our online service for transacting with ASIC's registers.

Services available on ASIC Connect include:

ASIC Connect search – for searching company, business names and self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) auditor registers
ASIC Connect business names – for:
- registering a business name
- renewing the registration of a business name
- cancelling or cancelling and transferring a business name
- updating business name details
ASIC Connect self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) auditor – for:
- registering as an SMSF auditor
- cancelling an SMSF auditor registration
- updating SMSF auditor details

Signing up

You do not need to sign up to ASIC Connect to search ASIC registers.

Signing up is once-off process that does not take long.

Please note that existing business name holders must also link business names to their ASIC Connect account. This is another once-off process.

Once you have signed up, you will be able to use your user name and password to log into ASIC Connect and complete transactions.

How to sign up

To sign up you must:

Go to ASIC Connect then select 'Sign up'.
Provide the following information:
- your full name
- your email address (which will become your user name)
- password and security question, and
contact telephone number
Activate your account by selecting the activation link in an email we will send you. This will return you to ASIC Connect and you are ready to start a transaction.
