The Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC) registers organisations as charities. This may include organisations that are registered with us as public companies limited by guarantee, proprietary limited companies or registered Australian bodies.
Some reporting obligations under the Corporations Act 2001 do not apply to companies and registered bodies that are registered with the ACNC. For example they no longer need to provide us with updates to their company officeholder and address details. This means the information we have on our register may not be up-to-date.
To find up-to-date information about a registered charity, you will need to search the ACNC.
We provide free and paid information. To determine what you can see for free, compare our free and paid information.
Search for money that has been classified as unclaimed from financial institutions and companies, on our consumer website, MoneySmart.
We also provide searches on fundraising offers, summary prosecutions and banned bodies corporate.
