Since September 2025 ASIC has been investigating matters relating to Lion Property Group Pty Ltd (Lion Property).

Appointment of provisional liquidators

On 17 February 2025, three investors commenced proceedings against Lion Property, Garry Pesochinsky, John Sader, and a number of related entities.

On 2 July 2025, the Supreme Court of Victoria ordered the appointment of provisional liquidators to Lion Property and the related entities. The Court appointed John Lindholm and Emily Seeckts of KPMG as provisional liquidators and made orders for a report to be provided to the Court.

Appointment of liquidators

On 6 August 2025, the Supreme Court of Victoria ordered Lion Property and related entities be wound up on the just and equitable ground and in insolvency. The Court also found Lion Property was operating a managed investment scheme and ordered that the scheme be wound up (Group Scheme).

John Lindholm and Emily Seeckts of KPMG were appointed as liquidators to Lion Property, the related entities, and the Group Scheme.

Is the Liquidators’ report available to investors?

The Liquidators prepared a statutory report to creditors which was issued on 6 November 2025. This report can be requested by investors by emailing Adam Zhang (of KPMG) at azhang158@kpmg.com.au.

A confidential Provisional Liquidators report was also filed with the Court on 24 July 2025 in accordance with a Court order. A redacted version of this report can be made available to investors, however the statutory report mentioned above provides more update to date information.

Can I contact the ASIC investigation team?

Are you able to advise on the status of our investment?

ASIC cannot provide any advice to investors about their individual investments.

Can I make a complaint to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA)?

AFCA is an independent external dispute resolution service established by the Federal Government, and deals with complaints from customers involving financial services and products.

Investors cannot make a complaint to AFCA against Lion Property because is not an AFCA member.

If you received personal financial advice from a financial adviser in relation to your investment with Lion Property, you might be able to make a complaint with AFCA against that financial adviser. Visit the AFCA website for information about how to lodge a claim.

Where can I get information about financial hardship?

While ASIC cannot advise on individual circumstances, ASIC's Moneysmart.gov.au has resources that may be of assistance in relation to financial counselling services, debt management and emergency assistance.
