Changes you need to tell us about
Change to credit licence details
If your credit licence details change, you need to update them on the credit licence register. This includes:
- principal business and alternative address
- contact details
- business names you trade under
- Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) membership status.
If you are a company or an AFS licensee, you also need to update your principal or alternative address on the companies register and the AFS licensee register.
Change to credit licence name
The credit licence name is the name of the credit licensee. It is different to the business names you trade under. You need to update your licence name if it changes. You need to submit a different form to make this change.
If you are a company, you need to change your licence name by updating the companies register. ASIC will then update the credit licence name, and email you an updated copy of your credit licence. There are no other steps you have to complete.
Follow these steps to change the company name.
Change to authorisations or conditions
If you want to change the authorisations or conditions of your licence, you need to vary your credit licence.
